FIELD INVESTIGATION AND NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING
Our investigations begin by tailoring our work to your needs. We recognize that our laboratory testing must support the overall goals of the project. To accomplish these goals, we perform field observations to provide information that complements the forensics conducted by the engineering community. As part of the process, we review field conditions of concrete structures and relate those observations to the laboratory. By performing analyses using many different instruments and testing procedures, we help you keep your project on track.
Tests include:
- Ground penetrating radar (GPR)
- Ultrasonic pulse velocity
- Half-cell corrosion potential
- Impact echo
Using nondestructive techniques helps our staff understand what's happening inside the hardened concrete, making it possible to provide a more detailed evaluation of the situation, as well as providing you with better recommendations and less conservative conclusions.
