When an art conservatory suspected a well-known artist may have painted over old canvases, they didn’t damage the artwork to learn what was painted below. Instead, they contacted Braun Intertec. By detecting the lead content in the paint, our x-ray services clearly deciphered an underlying image. Similarly, when the famed Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden needed a fresh coat of paint, we were asked to consult on the best coatings for the work of art.
